Interventional cardiology involves treating patients with a range of conditions involving the heart vessels (coronary arteries) or structures of the heart (e.g. holes in heart, valve disease). The interventional cardiology treatment is carried out in the state-of-the art invasive cardiovascular laboratories, equipped with advanced technology such as biplane flat detectors to provide accurate diagnosis and reduce the radiation exposure and contrast (dye) usage on the patients. Furthermore, the cardiovascular laboratories also equipped with the latest ambient mood-light facility to ensure maximal comfort and safety to the patients.

  • Diagnostic coronary and bypass graft angiography
  • 24/7 acute primary angioplasty for heart attack patients
  • Diagnostic right and left heart cardiac catheterisation
  • Diagnostic carotid, renal and peripheral angiograms
  • Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillators (ICD) implantation
  • Intraaortic balloon counterpulsation
  • Intravascular ultrasound imaging
  • Intracoronary physiological pressure wire measurement (FFR)
  • Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) –drug-eluting and antibody-coated stent implantation, plain balloon and drug-coated balloon angioplasty
  • Percutaneous device closure of Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) and Patent Foramen Ovale
  • Percutaneous balloon valvuloplasty of Mitral, Aortic and Pulmonary valves
